1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by websites. They are widely used to make websites work, improve user experience, and provide information to site operators. Similar technologies include localStorage and sessionStorage, which store data in your browser.
2. How RumbleZone Uses Browser Storage
RumbleZone does not use traditional cookies. Instead, we use browser storage for essential functionality only:
| Storage | Key | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| localStorage | token | Authentication — keeps you signed in | Until you log out |
| localStorage | displayName | Shows your display name in the UI | Until you log out |
| localStorage | cookie_consent | Remembers that you accepted this policy | Permanent |
| sessionStorage | rumblezone_guest_name | Random guest name for non-registered players | Until tab is closed |
3. Third-Party Cookies
RumbleZone does not use any third-party cookies. We do not use analytics services (such as Google Analytics), advertising networks, or social media tracking. No data is shared with third parties through cookies or similar technologies.
4. Managing Browser Storage
You can clear localStorage and sessionStorage through your browser settings:
- Chrome:Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox:Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
- Safari:Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
Note: Clearing storage will sign you out of RumbleZone and reset your cookie consent preference.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
